Dr. Evelyn Monks

Clinical Interests
Dr. Monks specializes in supporting college students, graduate students, and adults to treat anxiety, depression, complex trauma/PTSD, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions through evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also has particular expertise working with neurodivergent clients, the LGBTQIA+ population, and couples.
Dr. Monks creates a supportive space where clients can explore life’s complexities, deepen insight, and work through personal challenges. Her approach is both compassionate and practical, helping clients feel understood while making meaningful progress. Outside of her professional life, Evelyn enjoys yoga, puzzles, painting, and restoring furniture. Her passion for restoration and creativity mirrors her approach to therapy, where she helps clients rebuild, grow, and move toward more fulfilling, balanced lives.
Education & Training
Dr. Evelyn Monks completed her undergraduate degree at Saint Joseph’s University with a B.S. in Psychology. She went on to complete her M.A. and PsyD in Clinical Psychology at William James College. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Lifestance Health and her training has included extensive experience working in private practice and school-based settings with diverse populations. Dr. Monks is currently being supervised by Dr. Ava Floyd and Dr. Kate Greenberg as she pursues her Psychologist licensure.
